FIERCE URGENCY OF NOW

The 2 year legislative session ended this past Thursday with the state legislature taking no action on numerous bills, including ones dealing with health care reform, climate change, and economic development. 

 

At a time when we have hospitals going bankrupt and being shut down, the legislature didn’t act on a bill to more strictly regulate for-profit health care entities. 

 

At a time when we are experiencing the impacts of climate change including flooding and extreme heat, the legislature did not take action to protect our communities nor speed the transition away from fossil fuel dependency.

I am honored to have the endorsement of more elected and community leaders in Newton and Brookline than any other candidate in this race - including the support of retiring Rep. Ruth B. Balser. And just today I received the endorsement of Brookline Select Board member Paul Warren!

 

But the endorsement that matters most of all is yours - the voters.

 

This election will be decided in the next 30 days, because September 3 is the Democratic primary, and there is no Republican candidate running. 

 

I respectfully ask for your vote so that I can be YOUR voice on Beacon Hill, fighting for the issues that you’ve told me matter most to you - health care, the environment, housing, investing in education, and fighting antisemitism and bigotry.
